4 small 3/4" thick NY strip steaks
-- or 2-3 lb flank steaks
1-1/4 cups light brown sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1-1/2 inches gingerroot -- peel, grate
5 milliliter garlic -- crushed
1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions:
Trim and score the steaks. Arrange steak in shallow dish. Combine
remaining ingredients and blend well. Pour over steak. Cover and marinate
in refrigerator at least 3 hrs or overnight, turning occasionally.
Broil or grill to desired doneness. If using flank steak, slice diagonally
across grain before serving.
